to quote Ursula K. Le Guin:
We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings.
Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begins in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.

The only place to thrive was the one who would by policy not care about me or what I needed to do to my body — and of course we’re all paying for the consequences of a place that took ‘does not care’ to its fascistic endpoint.
the really baffling thing about this for me is who landlords expect to fill the units they're clearing out en masse. either they have to rent to people who just got evicted from another building, or there's going to be a MASSIVE housing glut leading to plummeting prices
Here's how the eviction crisis will impact each state. https://cnb.cx/3hGzLLj
Laugh at people who are wrong. Make fun of them in front of their friends. Not saying "harass someone for opposing a 1% tax increase," but like, point and laugh at people who oppose trans rights. If they support the police and ICE, tell them to get the fuck out of your house. If they even insinuate "healthcare is a privilege" throw a drink in their face.
Make conservatives know they're not welcome. Make republicans know that they're on the losing side, and the costs will be great. Fascists and Nazis? Just fucking beat them. With your fists.

Facebook post by Dr Jeff Hester:
“The data show the 7-day running average number of COVID-19 cases reported in the U.S. The sudden break from rapid climb to flat corresponds to the day to the handover of responsibility for the data from the CDC to the highly politicized Department of Health & Human Services. It is difficult not to conclude that official numbers can no longer be trusted to tell us anything meaningful about the course of the pandemic in the U.S.”
A graph is attached which depicts the data he's describing.
